Biography

Esraa is an Egyptian artist born in April 1990. Esraa graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 2012; she received her master’s degree titled “Human Anatomy for Artists” in 2016 and is currently working on her PhD. Esraa has been an assistant lecturer at Helwan University, Faculty of Applied Arts since 2014 and her teachings include topics such as human anatomy, art marketing and art branding. Throughout her years as an artist and a teacher of art, Esraa has held several art marketing and branding workshops both inside and outside Egypt.

Her art revolves around the human body and the concept of beauty, where she’s constantly trying to investigate personalized definitions of beauty despite society’s definition of it. Esraa has practiced art ever since she graduated in 2012 and held her first solo exhibition which was titled “The Neighbors of the Rainbow” at Azad Gallery in 2018. She also participated in over 20 national and international exhibitions including ones in Italy, Dubai, Saudi Arabia as well as Bahrain. Her latest exhibition was at Azad Gallery earlier in 2020.

Many of Esraa’s artworks were acquired by esteemed institutions and individuals around the world including the royal families of United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Amman, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. She has also published articles and research papers on art marketing in several prestigious journals and her latest paper was published at the Sixth International Conference on Plastic Arts and Community Service in 2020.
