أحاول باستمرار التواصل مع شيء لا يمكن إشراك الغير فيه، لشرح شيء لا يمكن تفسيره، ولأتحّّدث عن شيء أشعره أنا وحدي في عظامي ولا يمكن لأحد آخر أن يحس به. من حيث الجوهر، هو ليس إلّا هذا الخوف الذي تحدثنا عنه غالباً، لكنّ الخوف ينتشر ليصل إلى كل شيء، الخوف من الأمور الكبيرة كما الصغيرة، والخوف من العجز عن نطق.
كلمة واحدة، على الرغم من أن هذا الخوف قد لا يكون مجرد خوف، بل توقٌ إلى شيءٍ أكبر من كل ما هو مخيف.
مستوحاة من أعماق التأملات الموحشة والعاطفة الجياشة في رسائل فرانز كافكا، تحُوّل هذه المجموعة مخاوفه التي تعجز الكلمات عن التعبير عنها وأشواقه المكبوتة إلى سرد بصري ساحر. تعكس الأعمال الفنية استكشاف كافكا للوجود
البشري، كاشفةً عن لحظات من الضعف، والشوق المستمر، والعزلة الوجودية العميقة.
من خلال تناغم دقيق بين النور والظل، تستحضر المجموعة الطبيعة الزائلة للذاكرة والمشاعر. الأشكال التجريدية و
تجسد ما هو غير مرئي، مُحاكِيةً صراع كافكا في التعبير عن المكنونات التي استعصت على الوصف.
يظهر التوتر بين الخطوط الحادة البسيطة والتفاصيل المتناثرة والمتكسرة كترجمة بصرية للتوتر بين الوضوح و الغموض، وهو عنصر متكرر في كتاباته.
يشغل الرمز دورًا محوريًا في هذه المجموعة، حيث تتكرر رموز مثل الطيور المحبوسة، والخيوط المتحلّلة، والأشياء المكسورة التي تجسد تأملات كافكا حول الحرية، والاحتجاز، والزمن العابر في العلاقات الإنسانية. هذه الرموز تخلق سردًا عالميًا عن التجربة المشتركة، داعيةً المشاهدين للتوقف والتفكير في أعماق ذواتهم والتأمل في حقيقة وجودهم.
“I constantly try to communicate with something that can’t be shared, to explain an unexplainable matter, and speak about a certain feeling that I can only feel inside of me to the bone. If we look at it, it’s probably nothing but this fear we speak about, but fear consumes, engulfing everything, from the larger to the tiniest details. Fear is the inability to speak.”
Inspired by the deep, lonely reflections and excessive feeling in Franz Kafka’s letters, this collection reflects the fear he had no words to express and the yearning he wrote, into a magical visual narrative. The artworks reflect Kafka’s search for human existence, uncovering moments of powerlessness, constant longing, and deep existential loneliness.
Through a harmony between light and shade, the collection evokes the fragility of memory and feelings. Abstract figures and spectral shadows shape what is unseen; Kafka's battle with expressing his hidden feelings.
The tension between the simple, sharp lines and the scattered, fragmented details emerges as a visual translation of the tension between clarity and uncertainty, a recurring theme in his writings.
Symbolism plays a pivotal role in this collection, as recurring symbols such as caged birds, dissolving threads, and broken objects all represent Kafka’s thoughts on freedom, captivity, and the passing of time through relationships. These symbols create a universal narrative, inviting the viewer to stop and and take a look deeper into themselves and the reason they exist.
