Maisa Shaldan is a Saudi researcher and artist of Palestinian origin. Her artistic journey stems from a deep desire to explore the temporal transformations and contemporary changes in cultural heritage and the impact left to enhance her identity and feelings of belonging. This at its core involves navigating from the dimensions of the idea to investigating the possibilities of natural materials, gathering them, breaking them down, reconstructing them, and reassembling them in an attempt to interpret an intermediate state (between the two).
She received the Misk Art Grant in 2023, and a collection of her works was exhibited at UNESCO in 2018. She has participated in numerous international and local exhibitions, with her works being acquired by state ministries, companies, and private institutions.
