Biography

Mohamed is an Egyptian artist who was born in 1987 in Alexandria. He holds a B.F.A in Painting from Alexandria University (2009) and currently works as an Independent Visual Artist. Mohamed has been a curator at the Museum of Fine Arts in Alexandria since 2011 and was the head of Workshops and Residences at the Museum of Fine Arts in Alexandria during the years 2015 and 2016. Some of his previous workshops are One Artist & Two Nights Workshop which was sponsored by the General Management of Fine Arts and Image of the World Workshop.

 

Mohamed has contributed in various exhibitions including an exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University (2005), an exhibition at Al Anfoshy Culture Palace titled "Alexandria is an Islamic Civilization" along with other exhibitions at Youth Salon, Palace of Art (2010), Biennale Port Said (2011), Bibliotheca Alexandrina (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018), the Ministry of Culture (2016) and most recently, Egypt International Art Fair (2019). He also contributed in the 1st Alexandria Symposium for Mediterranean Arts, 3rd Burullus Symposium for Drawing on Wall and Painting on Boats (2016) as well as the 9th Luxor International Symposium for Painting (2017).

 

Mohamed's works were exhibited internationally at MH Art Gallery in Spain (2017), the Academy of Egypt in Rome (2018), Excel London (2018) and Hafez Gallery in Saudi Arabia (2019). Collectibles of his can be found at the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and internationally in Saudi Arabia, London, New York, Canada and Spain.
